Cheapest Ashes Cricket 09 (Wii)

Easy to pick up and have a game, the challenge is to master the techniques and advance through the difficulty levels. Expect to lose track of time when playing for the Ashes. Detail of the background is excellent. Playing spot the real cricketer's name is fun when playing one of the other international games.Get more detail about Ashes Cricket 09 (Wii).

Cheap Ashes Cricket 09 (Wii)

This game is very good - for batting swinging the wii remote around hitting 6s, hard when you start off but it gets easier dont worry. bowling and fielding needs improving, it is so frustrating I was against india on hard and their battsman hit it right up in the air straight to a computer controlled fielder and he DROPPED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! bowling gets a bit boring especially if the batts an dont get out.Get more detail about Ashes Cricket 09 (Wii).

Purchase Ashes Cricket 09 (Wii)

This was bought for my 9 yr old and husband as they are cricket mad. They have enjoyed playing it on their own and together with the varoius options available. One downside of it was that they couldn't play the actual ashes match together as that is just for 1 player but could compete against each other in other matches. Order Ashes Cricket 09 (Wii)

Despite reading some of the more negative reviews of this game I bought it anyway - bit of a mistake.

What a disappointing game. It is basically the old Brian Lara cricket game - same graphics, same game play, same annoying commentary. There is no real control (really) over the batting and it gets a bit boring after a while. There is an element of control over the bowling but not really enough.

And the fact that a game produced in 2009 does not have a licence to use the proper names of the players is just poor. As is the fact that it doesn't use the Wii Motion - well done Nintendo on that one.

There is just so much more they could have done with this game. Frankly, Stick Cricket is more fun.

Where To Buy Ashes Cricket 09 (Wii)

No it is does not have the sharpest graphics but the play is pretty authentic and has been played lots in our house. The test matches are virtually over within the first day and it is very unlikely that you would get to the end of the 5th day and get a draw, even if you scored 1000 runs per innings. I have never played Brian Lara Cricket but this game has recent player names, it would however, be good to be able to update these in the future as some players will retire and not get picked in the future.

The game is fun, my 8 year old son is able to play and loves it, it also helps him understand more the rudiments of the game. Get more detail about Ashes Cricket 09 (Wii).
